Tour Mont Blanc - Part 4

"I'm not giving up today! There's nothing getting in my way and if you knock me over, I will get back up again!"

Hello dear Mad readers. Here is part 4 of our adventure of the Tour Mont Blanc. I am already looking forward to our Canoe-trip in Sweden. Surviving in the wild sounds even more exciting! Our mother is already scared that we run into some bears. But I think everything will be just fine.

Anyway, part 4! (day 5 of our trip) After a well-rested day in Courmayeur, we started our day with new energy. The weather was turning out for the better. Honestly, I think this part of the tour might have been the one I enjoyed most. Perhaps it was because of the warm weather, but the views and surroundings were absolutely gorgeous. I'm certain you can notice in our pictures.

Of course, not everything went according to plan. The amount of kilometers we had to walk weren't enough, so we decided to add some more including a large climb. It was exhausting, but rewarding non the less. Luckily we ran into some people and asked them the way to Refuge Bonati. Like we were expecting, we had to return. On our way back we met with some fellow companions, who were lucky to run into us. So we continued our way together to the refuge, which was promised to be very good. It better had to be, because it was very expensive.

The last climb was almost too much. Me and my sister were singing "get back up again", to motivate ourselves. The rooms in the refuge were awfully cold though, the salad had maggots. So we went to bed with little food in our stomachs. It's sad you can't camp outside the refuges, which almost obligates you to stay there. Unless you take a different route. But if you could, we would advise continuing your journey to the next camping.

Tomorrow! Switzerland!

Wow! You look amazing doing that ballerina pose in that mountainous setting! All of the views in your photos are spectacular! It's too bad that the food was bad, but wonderful that you are young, in good shape and could explore and see what you did.
